Webster's crew hooks redfish and squeteague on Port Orange wrecks!
Action-packed day from the get-go! Webster and their crew joined us for a spring early morning trip with partly cloudy skies and rain throughout the day. The conditions didn't slow us down as we headed out to work the wrecks around Port Orange. Top Notch Adventures had everything dialed in for a solid day on the water.
Once the stage was set, we focused on light tackle fishing with bottom fishing and jigging techniques to target the structure. The wrecks off Port Orange are perfect for this approach since the fish stack up around these underwater features. Webster's crew pulled in some nice squeteague and redfish using our jigging setup. The bite was hot even with the weather moving through, and lines in the water kept us busy all morning.
The Port Orange wrecks delivered exactly what we expected. Bottom fishing worked great for the redfish while the squeteague came up on our lighter jigs. Even with rain rolling in, we kept working the spread and stayed hooked up. We wrapped up the trip with great catches and smiles all around, cruisin' the flats back to the dock!
